Share your CrossFit Prototype experience and fitness journey
I’ve always been active but never would have thought to join a CrossFit gym.  I’m pretty sure if Rebecca Welch didn’t join first and tell me about CFP I never would have joined!  It’s been 6 years since I joined, and I’ve had such a good time getting through some challenging workouts, lifting heavy things and meeting the best people!

What is your favorite part about being at CFP?
Hands down my favorite part about being at CFP is the camaraderie that has developed among the coaches and members. Even though we generally work out as individuals, it feels more like a team because we’re all going through the same miserable WOD. And by miserable, I mean totally awesome. Good days or bad, we all cheer each other on and there are always a lot of laughs. It makes those early morning classes fun – I swear! And there is no stinking way I would get up at 4:15 a.m. and go to CFP if the people sucked. ?

What are your hobbies and activities?
Is vacuuming considered a hobby or activity?? If so, then that’s it!! Oh, and I’m crazy about my dog, Ruby. I also have two very handsome boys, one in college and one in high school, and a husband who doesn’t understand why people would choose to lift heavy things and increase their heart rate for any reason other than being chased by a bear.

How has (if it has) CFP helped you outside the gym (in sports etc)?
CFP has definitely helped outside the gym!! Over the past few years I’ve seen more doctors than ever, and each doctor has advised me to continue doing Crossfit. Every. Single. One.

What are your continuing fitness goals to this point?
Honestly, my personal fitness goal at this point is to do as much as I can’t without hurting myself! I’m old and things don’t quite work the way they used to. Another goal of mine was to share my CFP love with my son Jack, and goal achieved!! He’s been working with Jon Collette for the last 10 months and really loves it, which is so great to see. My hope is that he continues along this journey and at 16, he has a long, incredible journey ahead.
