WHO’S EXCITED FOR FERMENTATION FRIDAY?!

In our effort to educate our community on the importance of #GutHealth, we are hosting our FIRST fermentation Friday at Prototype. This will be a live workshop where we will prepare fermented veggies for you to take home, get some information on what fermented foods do for you, and learn some cool recipes as well!

There are a TON of amazing health benefits to eating fermented foods… from increasing energy, reducing blood sugar, and improving your GUT HEALTH!

 

Our FIRST Fermentation Friday will be this Friday (September 2nd 2022) at 130pm at Prototype. You can get your workout on at the 12pm class, cool off then get your fermentation on!

 

Also, IF you would like more info on Fermentation before this Fridays workshop our good friend and Next Jump external partner Chef Dani Chavez-Bello (3-star Michelin Chef) will be teaching how to ferment on Thursday at 11am ET and sharing information on the health benefits..

Here is a list of supplies you will need. We will purchase a BUNCH of vegetables but feel free to bring what you would like.

If you’d like to participate make sure to purchase at least 1 32oz jar or 64oz jar (details below)!

Grocery List:

  • 1 head of red cabbage (approx. 2 lbs)
  • 1 lb of rainbow carrots
  • Salt (non-iodized)

Optional ingredients:

o Black peppercorns

o Juniper berries (5)

o Shallot (1)

o Fresh thyme

ANDDDDD as a special guest, Jay Chung (owner of Seoul Kitchen) will be sharing how to make your own KIMCHI and will be bringing for you all to try! We are super pumped and grateful to have Jay as part of this! If you don’t know…Kimchi is a traditional Korean side dish of salted and fermented vegetables, such as napa cabbage and Korean radish. Super healthy and good for you #GUTHEALTH!
