His response:
My name is Jack Brosnihan. I am from Westborough and will be starting my freshman year at Saint Johns High School in the fall. I play two sports, hockey and lacrosse. My favorite of the two is hockey, and I started playing competitively when I was 5. I have been going to CrossFit since November and my experience has been great!
When I first started CrossFit the WODs were pretty easy, but as we progressed through the year the workouts grew to become much harder. With these more difficult workouts, I grew stronger, faster and developed my fitness level. For example, at the beginning of the year at CrossFit, I wasn’t able to get a double under. As the classes went on, we would practice them and now I can do many in a row.
My favorite part of CrossFit is the various WODs that change everyday. Each WOD helps work and strengthen different muscles and to improve my entire fitness ability. I also enjoy the atmosphere of CrossFit. Everyone there motivates you to get through the workouts. Lastly, all the coaches help you to ensure that you are getting the most out of the workouts, by helping you practice and learn new movements.
CrossFit has helped me in both of the sports that I play. I have noticed my hockey and lacrosse shots are stronger, due to an increase in my strength from going to CrossFit. In lacrosse, I have noticed I am much faster and have a better endurance level when running during games.
Overall, CrossFit has helped me to be in the best shape I have ever been in, helped me improve in sports and has changed my whole fitness ability.
