Prototype Kid of the Month: Sam Correnti

I’ve been playing sports ever since I could imagine especially hockey. Hockey was the sport I grew up mostly playing. I also played baseball until the 5th grade and then I picked up a lacrosse stick the same year, when I picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time, I became addicted and threw away baseball out of my life.
I’m now playing hockey and Lacrosse for St. Johns and I’m also playing lacrosse for the Top Gun Clams which is  a club team organization. I spent the last two years traveling along the east coast playing in tournaments in Pennsylvanian, Vermont, Baltimore and many more states playing against the best competition in the country.
My goals for life is to one day play division one lacrosse, another goal is too one day make it too regional’s for CrossFit and finally one day to beat Mike and Brian in all of their Olympic lifts.
The first time I ever did CrossFit  was in 7th grade when a friend took me to his gym and I didn’t find it difficult probably because I was doing it all  wrong, but I only did CrossFit for one class in 7th grade. I then found CrossFit Prototype in the beginning of 8th grade and that changed my life for the better. Within a couple of months I could tell I was getting stronger, I was getting faster and things were improving in my sports and I was feeling healthier.
After doing CrossFit for about a month I noticed that I really started to become hooked and I couldn’t let go so I had to keep on going and that helped me because now my parents wouldn’t have to tell me to go, I would want to go on my own. I knew I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Mike, Brian and Jon teaching me and pushing me to do the best.
I’ve learned from CrossFit that pushing your limits is possible only if you give it 100%.
