Share your CrossFit Prototype experience and fitness journey
I came to an active lifestyle later in life.  I’ve lost a lot of weight, but got really bored and uninspired by the typical workout routine. A previous member recommended CFP to me and I jumped right in to find I really enjoy it. Crossfit has kept me motivated because of the variety, functional workouts were always more appealing to me. The atmosphere, the coaches, and the workouts at CFP are great, and as a result I think good people are drawn to have a membership here.  I don’t consider myself a very athletic person so I wind up being pretty particular about group class workouts. I like that I don’t feel intimidated or “lesser than” by working out at this gym, it is very inclusive, and that isn’t true everywhere.

What is your favorite part about being at CFP?
It is simply the atmosphere and inclusivity.

What are your hobbies and activities?
I work a lot, I’m an acoustical engineer at Bose.  But I have a real passion for music listening, reading, and baking sourdough bread. And craft beer, but who doesn’t.

How has (if it has) CFP helped you outside the gym (in sports etc)?
I work a desk job, and so the full body exercise I get from coming to CFP every day does things like improve my posture, help me with my lower back pain, and help me feel less fatigued throughout the day.

What are you continuing fitness goals to this point?
Continue to lose weight, stay strong, and live a long healthy life, which starts early with good habits.  Getting down a pant size before my sister’s wedding in February might be nice too.

What is your favorite quote?
Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid – Frank Zappa
