Mark Dirienzo

1.) Share your CrossFit Prototype experience and fitness journey
I got into Crossfit about 3.5 / 4 years ago. Just before that I had started doing boot camps and came across a youtube of Mikko Salo doing training with Navy Seals. I was so impressed with his level of fitness compared to the Seals he was training with that I searched for more videos of him and found out he was a CF athlete. At that point I stopped doing the boot camps and built a basic CF home gym and started looking at the wods the local boxes posted and did the ones I could at home. The more I read about the community aspect of CF, and the benefits of working out in a competitive environment, the more I realized I wasn’t getting the full benefits of CF by just doing the wods at home.  After talking with most of the coaches and owners at the boxes in the area, I chose CFP because of my conversation with Mike C and have been here since March of 14′.
2.) What is your favorite part about being at CFP?
After almost three years, there’s a lot! I’ve met some amazing and interesting people over the last few years.  I love the almost immediate bond thats created with all different types of people simply by going through a few grueling ass workouts together that only people who do CF can understand. I’ve come to appreciate how vested the coaches are in the members and whatever it is they are trying to individually get out their time at CFP. Most of all, I love getting humbled on a regular basis by the workouts.

3.) What are your hobbies and activities ?
CF, golf, hiking, mt. Biking
4.) What are you continuing fitness goals to this point?
Stay healthy, get stronger both physically and mentally, build the motor!
