Prototype kid of The Month: Matt Cooper
Talk about your journey, experience and history at CrossFit.
I have had an awesome experience at CrossFit. I play football, basketball, and baseball and feel CrossFit is helping me get stronger which in turn is enhancing my game. I have been going to CrossFit on and off for over a year but steadily for the past 4 months and have noticed a big improvement in my strength and endurance. I like that when I came to CrossFit I couldn’t do a double under and now I can string more then my Dad! Currently, I go 2x a week but hoping this summer I will get there more.
What do you like best at CrossFit Prototype?
I like the challenge CrossFit provides me and that it always leaves me feeling accomplished and good about myself. I also like that all the coaches are friendly, helpful, and that they want you to succeed and will push you to do your best and never quit.
What are your goals and what do you want for yourself in the future?
One of my goals is to be able to do 10 strict pull-ups. I would like to stay physically fit and become stronger, faster, and more flexible.
Well, that is a very hard question that I don’t like to answer. Right now I have to go with baseball because that is where I have seen CrossFit help me the most. I was able to hit my first Home-run, which was a Grand Slam. Before doing CrossFit, I had never hit a home-run but now I am stronger because of CrossFit and I have hit three home-runs this season so far.
One of my favorite quotes is “It’s not whether you get knocked down; it’s whether you get up.”
