A man is pointing at the word time for review

We talk about #Goals a lot at Prototype. We actually talk A LOT about them because they’re the reason why you walked in the door in the first place. Am I right?!

So from the first time you have a conversation with us in your No Sweat Intro session (NSI) , we guide you on sorting through what’s important and we prescribe the best course of action to get you there.

But what happens after that NSI?

A few things can happen…

1.) You may be struggling with accountability.

2.) Your goals have changed because your priorities have changed.

3.) You accomplished what you wanted to do and are now struggling to figure out what’s next.

Regardless of the circumstance, at Prototype, it’s important that we are having frequent conversations with you about your goals.

We call these Goal Review sessions (GRS for short).

The GRS is a little bit different than the NSI. Think of the NSI as creating the roadmap to success. The GRS is a check-in to make sure you’re still on the road.

Imagine this…

You own a business and you set performance goals for the new year.  You are fired up! You truly believe that you are going to have a great year and so does your team.

But as the new year progresses, you never look at your key performance metrics, you never look back at the goals you wrote down and you didn’t review the plan frequently enough.

Doesn’t sound like a good strategy for success, does it?

The analogy is the same for the goals that you set for yourself.

But remember goals change, it’s ok if you start to prioritize other things that you find are more important to you.

For example, at the beginning of the year, you set a goal of running a half marathon. You start your training and all is well. Then you start a new fitness program that your friend tells you about. She says “you’re going to love it!”. You give it a try and all of a sudden you fall in love with weightlifting! Awesome!

You realize that you love it SO much and that you are doing things you never imagined you could do, so you put the half marathon on the back burner.

No big deal. Your priorities changed AND you found something you love That’s ok!. BUT, what’s your plan now?

You need a check-in and you need to leverage your key resources to help you.

One of the biggest things we tell people is that YOU ARE NOT IN THIS ALONE! We are here to help and we are here to be your guides. We want to be your Yoda to your Anikin Skywalker!

So here’s the plan…

I included our link below. If you’re reading this and you haven’t pulled the trigger to have a Goal Review Session with us, trust me, it’s worth it.

Let us help you. Your progress matters.

Tim has been an incredible part of our community — always positive, funny, generous, and willing to help. His energy makes everyone around him better. Prototype of the Month is well deserved! Below he answers some questions about his time at PTS. 1.) Share your experience at Prototype This actually isn’t my first stint at Prototype - I’ve been around and worked out here a few times in my heyday. My very first legitimate class though, as a member, was 5am earlier this year and I was welcomed first by Nicole. You can all imagine how that interaction went… and I came back! Prototype is welcoming, fun, clean, and I’ve made amazing friends along the way. It is one of the best hours of my day. 2.) What is your favorite part about being at Prototype? Prototype is not just another workout but a mental reset for me, it fills my cup. 3.) What are your hobbies and activities? Activities mostly involve time with my family outside whenever we can, trips to Ptown and traveling all over for work. I have a hard time sitting still and typically keep a busy schedule. Mix in photography and interior design opportunities with fitness and family and I’d say that's my perfect mix. 4.) How has Prototype helped you or solved a problem for you? I work remotely so in person face to face conversation is something I’ve found I need for my mental health. I’m also super competitive so I tend to push a little harder when I workout with others. 5.) What are you continuing fitness goals to this point? I want to be a parent who can show up for their kids in every aspect of life, which also means physically. Staying fit is important to be able to keep up with them as we collectively get older. I am training for a few Hyrox races coming up but mostly just trying to maintain my current level of fitness for as long as possible. 6.)
